Free Gantt chart for Jira Cloud · Marketplace listing in review

A free Gantt chart for Jira that plans from your dependencies.

Bars follow your Jira dates. Dependencies with lag move them, the critical path shows which chain sets the finish, and Workload shows who is overloaded. Jira changes only when you review and publish.

Free for every team size · No licence and no trial · Built from Ganttry's code

What you get

The plan, the people and the publish, free.

Dependencies

Plan from your dependencies.

Finish-to-start, start-to-start, finish-to-finish and start-to-finish, with lag in working days. The critical path shows which chain sets the finish, and Plan insights lists broken and at-risk links first.

Workload

See who is overloaded before they are.

Hours, story points or percent, per person and day, counting holidays and each person's working week. Red is over capacity, amber is full.

How it works →

Publish

Jira changes only when you publish.

Drag bars and keep baselines without touching Jira. Then review every date change and publish only the issues you tick, as you, with your own Jira permissions.

Ganttry Lite or Ganttry

When one plan becomes several.

Ganttry Lite is Ganttry's chart with the planning core and none of the extras: the same code, the same five scopes. Ganttry adds what a team needs once it plans scenarios, releases, capacity and a portfolio.

Moving to Ganttry

Your charts come with you.

  1. Install Ganttry on the same Jira site. Both can stay installed while you move.
  2. Everything you published is already in Jira. Dates, links, statuses and assignees need no move, and Ganttry draws its charts from the same projects and queries.
  3. For each chart, save a backup in Ganttry Lite, open the same chart in Ganttry and restore it there. Unpublished moves, baselines, markers, views, columns and the working calendar come with it.

What it may touch

Five scopes. Every Jira write named. No vendor servers.

5

Scopes

the same five as Ganttry

17

Read endpoints

all made as the signed-in person

8

Write calls

over 7 endpoints

0

Requests leave Atlassian

and none is made as the app

Ganttry Lite can delete an issue: one at a time, from a dialog that names it, as you. Every scope with the sentence that pays for it, all 17 reads and all 8 writes are on the security page. Last checked 15 October 2026.

Documentation

Ganttry's guides describe the same chart.

Ganttry Lite uses Ganttry's documentation. A guide about something in the Ganttry column above describes Ganttry only.

Free, and answered by the same people

The same team writes it and answers the chat.

Ganttry Lite has no paid tier and no guaranteed response times. It reaches the same queue and the same people as Ganttry, and a security report is handled the same way.
