Jira Cloud Free and Standard

A Gantt chart in Jira, without upgrading to Premium.

Jira Standard keeps the links between your issues. It does not schedule from them. Ganttry does, on any Jira Cloud plan, and changes Jira only when you publish.

Jira Standard

What Jira gives you, and where it stops.

Already in Jira

  • Start date and Due date fields on every issue.
  • Issue links such as blocks and is blocked by, so a dependency is recorded.
  • A Timeline of epics and the work under them.

Not on Standard

  • A successor's dates stay put when its predecessor slips: a link is a label, not a rule.
  • No lag between linked issues, and no difference between finish-to-start and start-to-start.
  • No critical path, so nothing says which chain of work sets the finish date.
  • Plans, the cross-project planning view, comes only with Jira Premium and Enterprise.

Price

What it costs.

Free for up to 10 users, then $1.29 per user a month for 11–100 users, billed by Atlassian with your Jira subscription. Every tier on Marketplace ↗

Start

Your first chart in a few minutes.

  1. A Jira admin installs Ganttry from the Atlassian Marketplace.
  2. Open Ganttry from Apps. Charts lists the projects nobody has planned yet; open one and its chart is there.
  3. Or open the sample plan first: about 1,000 issues with dependencies and releases, running in your browser and never touching Jira.

Questions

Before you install.

Does Ganttry change my Jira issues?
Only when you publish. Moving bars changes Ganttry's plan; Publish shows each issue whose dates differ from Jira, with both dates, and writes the ones you tick.
Which Jira plans does it work on?
Every Jira Cloud plan: Free, Standard, Premium and Enterprise. It is a Forge app and runs on Atlassian; there is no Data Center version.
What if we move to Premium later?
Nothing breaks. Ganttry keeps its plans in its own Forge storage and reads Jira the same way on every plan, so it can sit beside Plans.
